J’aime beaucoup le website CODOFIL. I love CODOFIL’s message forum. Here is the web address http://codofil.forumsdediscussions.com/index.htm
There are lively discussions here about French culture and language in Louisiana (Cajun and Creole), Canada, and worldwide. It’s a good way to connect with fellow francophones and Francophiles. Many of the topics deal with the retention of the French language in Louisiana.
Also, there’s another website if anyone’s interested in listening to interviews about New Orleans, Louisiana, Cajuns, Creoles, Houma Indians, etc. (toute en française) from TV5. Here are the directions to get there: http://www.tv5.org/TV5Nouvelleorleans/
Double click on the right arrow on the lower right side (this opens another window). At the bottom left corner, click on Mediatheque. You get a mini menu, click on video if you want to see video interviews or click on son if you want to listen to audio interviews.
Some of the videos include well known French faculty Dr. Barry Ancelet (ULL) and Ms. Amanda LaFleur (LSU).
There’s also an interview with Paul Nevski, director of Monde Créole à La Nouvelle-Orléans, discussing the meaning/definition of creole in New Orleans.
Il y a beaucoup d’information ici. There’s a lot of information here. J'espère que vous appréciez les écouter. I hope you enjoy listening to them. |
