Some MGM families, not all, have had such strong Caucasian admixture for so many generations that they really don't know which ancestors were multiracial, biracial or Caucasian.

Plus Harold Ford Jr. is not the first nor will he be the last person from a MGM family that has accused one of his older ancestors of being 100% Caucasian (as if that truly exists in the U.S.). In the black & white photos the woman could be mixed but she could also be Caucasian.

And I don't think Harold Ford Jr.'s accusations are meant as much to hurt his Grandmother Vera Ford as they are additional examples of how unsound the One drop rule was and for some continues to be.

I disagree very strongly with the assertion that "Ford has also insulted the Black public and Black history". What does Ford's internal family history have to do with the Black public?

I just posted the article, by the way. Not pro or against it as I do not know his family history.

That's true.

I don't know why it is an insult to mistake her for White anyway when she clearly isn't all black. Confused
