I am recently single (and after the arguement I had over the phone this afternoon with my now out-of-state last husband, I plan to remain that way, any thoughts of reconciliation....out the door!!) Any way, I have dated monoracial men, married two white ones (the last one whiter than the first, who had some admixture, sort of tan for a white guy). I would like to meet a nice multi-racial, bi-racial man who can understand me a little better and where I am coming from. The problem seems to be, that while mixed persons are on the increase, it's from a generation or so under me. My generation mixed some, but not often. My children's generation is mixing more. But my parent's generation were still separatists for the most part. Very little mixing. I don't live in my family's area of origin. I have been back there and found more drunk/druggie losers than anything. The only nice, smart, multi-racial guys I know are 25 or younger. Where do you meet a nice black/white/Native American mixed guy born say between 1955 and 1970 who isn't in prison or already married?
